End User Developer/IT Developer/Information Technology Developer/Software Developer/              Programmer/Senior Programmer

Our client, a global financial institution has an opening for a Developer at the Associate level to join their New York City office. This role will be responsible for all End User Development that includes design, programming, database development, testing and documentation. The position will oversee all End User Development related projects, and together with their manager will present to the Information Systems Committee. This role will also liaise with Internal and External Auditors as required and create and maintain policies and procedures.

Responsibilities of a Developer / Programmer - Associate:

  • Responsible for the end user development and related work
  • Responsible for the designing, programming, database development, testing and documentation
  • Prioritize issues and establish the annual plan for presentation to the Information Systems committee
  • Manage or participate in various Development related projects
  • Resolve any issues related to development in a timely manner
  • Perform System Risk Assessment for End User Development, and complete action plans in a timely manner
  • Provide support of End User Computing programming
  • Interface with internal and external auditors/examiners when necessary
  • Create and maintain policies and procedures


Qualifications of a Developer - Associate:

  • 3+ years’ experience as a Developer or Programmer in a Financial Institution
  • Experience gathering requirements and designing of a technical solution based on these requirements
  • Experience working directly with end users for new development, enhancement and troubleshooting
  • Experience completing full life cycle of development
  • Experience creating documentation like specifications, test cases
  • Familiar with SDLC
  • Programming requirements - VB.Net, SQL server (with T-SQL), Access, Excel (with VBA)
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Good self-learner, and organizational skills
  • Experience with tools to track requirements and design such as CASE and UML is preferred
