Human Resources Business Partner

Our client, an insurance brokerage firm, is seeking a Human Resources Business Partner to join their NYC team. The HR Business Partner will be responsible for supporting all areas of HR – Talent Management, Employee Relations, Organizational Development, Compensation, Performance Management, etc. In this job, you will be supporting approximately 300 employees. This role requires about 15% travel within the US.

Primary Responsibilities of a Human Resources Business Partner:

  • Align HR strategy and service with overall company goals
  • Provide excellent HR support within a fast moving sales environment
  • Form a strategic partnership with business groups
  • Build our talent management strategy to promote employee development, career opportunities, and internal mobility
  • Manage all employee relations issues within assigned groups
  • Conduct needs assessments, due diligence, and onboard new partner companies
  • Support organizational development and workforce planning
  • Handle performance reviews, compensation planning and advisory, and benchmarking
  • Support the Head of Recruiting on executing the hiring plan for each office

A successful HR Business Partner will have:

  • 3+ years’ experience as a HR Business Partner within a sales organization
  • Experience in the Insurance or Financial Services area supporting sales teams
  • Superb client partnership & relationship abilities
  • Strong attention to detail & organizational skills
  • Ability to thrive in a fast paced environment and adapt to change quickly
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, particularly Excel or Access
  • Bachelor’s degree required
