Senior Account Executive - Entertainment

Our client, an insurance and risk management firm, is seeking a Senior Account Executive to join its team in NYC. The Senior Account Executive will be responsible for a book of business in the Entertainment space.  In this job, you will be managing existing accounts and developing new ones.

Primary Responsibilities of a Senior Account Executive:

  • Maintain level of current premium/account volume
  • Generate leads through community activities, industry activities, and personal and industry contacts
  • Develop the coverages for marketing preparation for prospective clients; prepare specifications for proposal to the insured, outlining our professional services
  • Handle complex processing of an account and assist Claims Department with any issues with regard to interpretation or dispute of coverages
  • Negotiate payment plan with clients; ensure the collection of premiums and audits, endorsements and weekly or financed premiums
  • Update accounts in agency management system and network drive: recording and logging all communication with clients and underwriters, and logging in all new business as well as lost business
  • Attend renewal, production and other department and underwriter meetings
  • Remarket existing accounts as economic conditions and industry may dictate
  • Gather information, prepare market summary, and follow proposal/bid format of corporation in bidding and obtaining new accounts

A successful Senior Account Executive will have:

  • 5+ years of commercial brokerage experience
  • Entertainment experience a plus
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and agency management systems
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
  • NY brokers’ license
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred
